How to Use USB OTG ADB: Phone-to-Phone Android Debugging (No PC Needed)

Turn your Android smartphone into a portable ADB technician toolkit. Connect two phones with a USB-C to USB-C cable to debloat, install APKs, and run shell commands on the go.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Host Phone (running Google Chrome or Chromium browser on Android)
  • Target Phone (with USB Debugging enabled)
  • USB-C to USB-C cable or USB-A to USB-C OTG adapter

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Enable USB Debugging on the Target Phone

On the phone you want to debug (Phone B), go to Settings > About Phone > Tap "Build Number" 7 times. Then go to Developer Options and toggle "USB Debugging" to ON.

2

Connect Both Phones with a USB-C to USB-C Cable

Plug one end of the USB-C cable into Host Phone A and the other end into Target Phone B. If using an OTG adapter, plug the OTG side into Host Phone A.

3

Open ADB Toolkit on Host Phone A

Open https://adbtoolkit.com in Google Chrome on Host Phone A.

4

Tap "Connect Android Device" and Grant Android USB Permission

Tap the Connect button. Android will display an OS-level pop-up: "Open Chrome to handle this USB device?". Tap OK / Allow.

5

Authorize RSA Key on Target Phone B

Unlock Target Phone B. Check "Always allow from this device" on the USB Debugging prompt and tap Allow.

6

Control, Debloat, and Repair Phone B Directly from Phone A

You now have full terminal access, OEM debloater, APK installer, file explorer, and live screen mirror of Phone B running on Phone A!
